Welcome to Snow Lands!
You’re at the home site of Athari which is dedicated to everything he is interested in. As you may have noticed, this includes snow leopards. There’s no materials related to them for now, but quite a bit related to the movie “The Lion King.”
So, on this site you’ll find…
Library
This section contains fanfics related to TLK, animals and furry. Above all, the library is dedicated to TLK — it contains the best works I and my friends could find. For the common good (and for conscience’s sake) it also includes texts which we have no relish for, but which generate some interest among readers. There may be something in that.
You can comment on works — don’t miss this opportunity. Thanks to your comments it’ll be easier for other visitors to find what they like, and authors will recieve valuable feedback. And wouldn’t it be interesting to know other’s opinions?
The library features arguably the best work based on TLK, “Chronicles of the Pride Lands” by John Burkitt and David Morris. If the movie touched you, you sholudn’t pass it by. The first part, “Legacy of Ahadi,” was translated into Russian by Beltar, me and some other people.
Most texts are available online, so you won’t need to download, unpack, and execute other programs. Just a few texts remain unconverted as yet. Unfortunately, converting and reformating takes some time, so it’s not possible to do everythhing at once.
There’s no comprehensive search as now, but you can browse by category, author and language; just click the corresponding link in a work’s description.
Author pages are currently empty for the most part, but it’s planned to add information on authors who hasn’t vanished out of sight. If you’re author of a publicated work and wish to tell something about yourself, or have information on another author, don’t hesitate to share the knowledge, write to me.
If you wish to publish your work visit the “Publish” page — you’ll find all the necessary information.
Comics
This section supplements with the library, but is dedicated to the works which put visual presentation above text. (N.B.: widely known series “The Lion King: Six New Adventures” don’t fit into this category and thus are put into the library.) You can view comics online advancing by pages, use version for print, or download an archive.
Lists of the last updates and comments for both sections are available on the pages “Last updates” and “Last comments,” accordingly.
Skins
Everything that makes everybody who sees you computer understand you’re The Lion King fan. Currently this section includes cursors for CursorXP by me, skins for Winamp and Windows Media Player once created by Disney, boot screens for Windows XP and Windows 95/98.
Software
For now the section contains GeekCoder, aimed to create and decode geek-like codes: TLKCode, FurCode, YiffCode etc.
Help
If you experience any problems with the site, look here first. If you don’t find an answer to your question (it’d be strange if you found anything on the empty page), write to me (e-mail is at the bottom of the page).
Here you can login into the system to be able to add comments. If you haven’t registered yet, you can do it now.
